Down to the millimeter
The owners wanted a sauna in a puristic-modern design that was perfectly integrated into the alcove, but also matched the room aesthetics in absolute visual harmony. They also wanted to be able to enjoy, as much as possible, an unobstructed view outside through the window while they were in the sauna. They selected the SHAPE model which, with its interior paneling made of horizontal hemlock panels, was a perfect match for the owners' taste in design. On the basis of this model, our planners created an individual solution that was integrated into the room situation down to the last detail.
For example, the height of the loungers was exactly aligned to the rungs of the window. To achieve an absolute symmetrical appearance, the loungers are also completely veneered and the grooves in these veneers and in the wall covering were exactly coordinated with each other. The clear glass front also makes for a seamless view. It only makes sense that the BONATHERM heater with the SANARIUM® function is concealed under the left sauna lounger.
An interesting detail: In order for the owners to reach their sauna loungers comfortably, KLAFS's planners designed a special platform. To allow the middle of the three windows to be opened completely for cleaning and ventilation, this platform is made of two parts and can be easily removed.

The made-to-measure sauna was installed in an existing alcove in a private home on the Rhine.
